Sunshine Safety Council
Who we are
The Sunshine Safety Council is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental, safety training and educational organization. As a private, not-for-profit and non-governmental organization, the Safety Council receives funding through individual and corporate memberships, safety product sales, course fees, grants, and contributions.
What we do
Serving Volusia, Flagler, and, Putnam counties since 1983, we are in the business of promoting safety in every phase of life. Whether it is in homes, schools, businesses, commercial or industrial facilities, or on the roads and highways our goal is always safety. We want everyone that attends our classes to leave with at least one new idea or technique to help them become more safety oriented.
How we do it
The Council’s programs and services are governed by a Board of Directors comprised of prominent business and civic leaders who voluntarily work to create a safer community. Advisory committees provide voluntary guidance for each Department.
What you can do
With those thoughts in mind, please take the time to look at some of our programs designed to promote safety awareness at home, in the community, and at work. Training and education is available to residents throughout Florida and the United States.
